In the day where it’s easy to find someone online, gone are the days where you might meet your soulmate in person, by chance or through a mutual friend. Except for Sally & Nick, they did meet through a mutual friend, Hong. It is fitting that Hong be the link between them both, as he has seen both Sally & Nick through more of their lives than Sally & Nick themselves!
They first met almost seven years ago now, and it wasn’t long before they both knew there was WAY more than a friendship brewing, so much so that on Nick’s birthday, 5 years ago, after saying it would be the best birthday present ever, they became engaged! Of course, in their style, it took them forever to finally decide on a date for their wedding, and of all days, they chose my birthday!
Sally & Nick fell in love for different, but very cute reasons: for Nick, it was Sally’s personality. She has such a wonderful bubbly personality that makes everyone around so happy and youthful. And, she tries so hard in everything and does amazing at it. For Sally, it was his cooking. Nick is a really good cook when he puts in the effort, so she says!
Sally loves everything about Nick’s personality too, but because he has a habit of being a little more annoying than most people, for Sally, it is when Nick is being nice that she has the best times with him! And to date, Nick’s most favourite memory of Sally is the day they got married! He’s a “softy” at heart.
On their wedding day, we started the day at their place, and in a unique way, we did bride and groom prep at the same location. And why not? It suited them perfectly. We then took them to the little bridge out beyond Dunrossil Dr and then onto the Arboretum, where they had an absolute ball. After that, it was their formalities, which moved straight into party time. Such a fantastic way to celebrate the day.
