Almost a year later, on August 20, 2024, Solomon proposed to Irene on the lawns of the National Library. Under a sun umbrella, surrounded by the aroma of fresh coffee and antipasti, he asked, "I'd like to spend the rest of the seasons of my life with you. Will you marry me?" The moment caught Irene by surprise and remains a cherished memory.

Their love is built upon strong foundations: a deep and caring nature for each other and those around them, a strong work ethic, and undivided attention when together. These qualities have created a relationship of mutual strength and admiration.

Irene's favorite memory is when Solomon handmade her favorite food, Kimbap (Korean Sushi), and set up an Omakase-style stall by the beach. For Solomon, a special moment was the early morning bus ride to their hot air balloon adventure, filled with the hum of the bus and the excitement of the rising sun.

Their most memorable trip was a two-day whirlwind adventure to Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It started with exploring Brisbane's landmarks and the CBD, followed by a pre-dawn bus trip to the Gold Coast for a hot air balloon ride. They then immediately headed to Movie World, packing in as much fun as possible before returning to Brisbane for a buffet dinner that same night. This action-packed trip, though short on sleep, was filled with laughter and joy.
