Ellie & Tristan agree on most things in life, like their choice in each other, but when asked how they first met, Ellie says it was through her friends, where Tristan is certain it was at a bar in town. However, we think it’s just perfect they can’t quite remember how they first met, because it just goes to show they’ve have too many amazing times since that first meeting!
They’ve been together for over 5 years now and they can’t remember a day when Ellie didn’t laugh at least once! And they’ve basically known it was true love for almost the entire time - Ellie fell in love with Tristan’s luscious beard, she just can’t get enough of it and knew almost immediately that she was in love; and Tristan fell in love with her very mature behaviour, often displayed on the dancefloor. But it took him a lot longer to confess his undying love for Ellie, but he was too cool, so much so that Ellie had to say it first!
They have traveled the world to many places, but Nepal sticks out as one of the best because it is home to the highest mountain in the world. Whether or not they made it to the very summit said mountain is a story they can tell you themselves…. But when asked whether they had a moment that they thought was their favourite moment, they began to disagree again: Ellie said it was the moment she was allowed to bring a second cat into their lives, whereas Tristan said it definitely wasn’t the time he was concerned into making the decision to allow a second cat into their lives. We’re sure he loves the second cat just as much as the first.
It wasn’t until September of 2017 that Tristan finally asked Ellie to marry him. He had planned the whole thing out, starting with seeing the ballet in Melbourne, then followed by a beautifully romantic walk through the park afterwards. Of course, being Melbourne, it rained and ruined his plans. He decided to try again on the balcony of their hotel, and notwithstanding that Ellie complained that it was cold and windy, she still said yes!
Ellie & Tristan celebrated their wedding at the National Gallery of Australia, it being a unique location to us as one of our lovely photographers was married in the exact same location, and this is the first time the same location has been photographed by us!
