Aqeela and Dimitrio met as children, growing up together in the same community. Many years later, reuniting as adults and officially meeting for the first time on their own.

Fifteen years later, five years spent long distance, Aqeela and Dimitrio have stood the test of time. During this time, the couple have experienced many moments and discovered a blossoming love strengthened by their joint experiences.

Enjoying each others company with regular contact and communication, Aqeela and Dimitrio realised they didn't want to be apart from each other for too long. A realisation strengthened when Dimitrio finally saw Aqeela at the airport after being apart for a year. For Aqeela it was the building of their home together. Creating an anchor where they can continue to grow, with memories and moments special to them.

its not just the enjoyable and heart warming moments sharded by the two that created a foundation and connection. A scary moment turned into laughter bonds deep. This is what happened for Aqeela and Dimitrio, on a self driven Safari in South Africa. Their car became stuck in the bush and the thought that they could have been attacked or in the path of an elephant trampling. Aqeela and Dimitrio did not turn to fear, but instead laughter and silver linings.

After years of getting to kn ow each other, through love, laughter, adventures and a growing warmth of connection for one another. Surrounded by close family, at home Dimitrio proposed to Aqeela on June 30th, 2019
