Meaghan & Lewis Mikulic

These two lovebirds officially met in 2013, sitting side-by-side in a Japanese class. They didn’t know it then, but it wouldn’t be very long until they would meet each others parents, who would inform them both that they had actually met when they were in preschool together. We won’t go into the the details of all that, but suffice to say that they each have very cute, yet slightly embarrassing stories of when they were in preschool together.

Lewis basically knew from the moment he met in Japanese class that Meaghan was the one for him. It was her empathy that drew him to her, along with many of her beautiful features, the most important of which was he loving caring nature. Meaghan fell in love with Lewis’ sense of adventure and fun as well as his ability to make her feel safe and grounded. He is the kind of man that you want to follow, just to see where it takes you; the kind of man that can make you laugh every day, even when he doesn’t mean to. It wasn’t long before they were spending every moment they possibly could together.

One of their most memorable times together is very first Christmas they shared together. Meaghan decided to present Lewis this silly Elvis Presley Santa shirt, something that she made specifically for Lewis. And to this day, almost in spite of Meaghan’s insistence he doesn’t need to do so, he continues to wear it, mostly because it reminds him of her beautiful nature.

Another time they remember fondly is fairly early into their relationship where Lewis was drugged to the eyeballs to have his wisdom teeth removed. He was so delirious, he was happily telling anyone who would be interested in listening to him (mostly the bloke lying in the bed adjacent) that he was head over heels in love with Meaghan. It was super cute, and course, he we are today, and they’re very happily married!

Lewis finally got the guts to propose back in November of 2018, after taking Meaghan up to a hot springs resort in the Blue Mountains. True to form, this was his very adventurous way of telling Meaghan how much he loved her, and this time of course without being under the influence of drugs. Of course Meaghan said yes!

On their day, we met them at the Margaret Whitlam Pavilion in order for them to get their nuptials out of the way before spending an amazing time on a very smokey afternoon photographing in their most favourite parts of Canberra. We even managed to find time for a dress change, and then met another bride wearing the same dress! Super cute! All in all, it was such an amazing day, and one worth remembering through our photos. Congratulations guys!
