This story starts a little while back, almost when we were starting our business. We were approached by two very wonderful people, Gordon & Tony, and they had us photograph their wedding. You can still see their wedding photos here. ;)
Fast forward a few years and Gordana’s son Anthony is now on his own journey of love, and Gordana suggested that Anthony and his son-to-be beautiful bride Amber get us for their wedding as well.
They sat down with us, and let us in on a little-known secret: that instead of a normal wedding, they were planning to surprise everyone at their engagement party and just get married on the spot right then and there.
We loved the idea and helped them plan out all the little details on the evening so that no-one would know until then very last second that it was actually a wedding!
The plan was that Amber would mingle with everyone before she disappeared to get changed into her dress. After the ceremony, we’d take them for a brief stint down by the water so that they could still have a few amazing portraits of the two of them to help really remember their special day, and then we’d tale them back to party with everyone, just as they wanted.
It was an evening that was all about them and it went off without a hitch, yet they got hitched, no dramas! Here is a selection of the photos from their surprise…
